Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about matching on taste and meeting over dinner.

Getting started

What is Yumble?

Yumble is a social-dining app for people who love food. Instead of swiping on photos, you match with people who share your taste in food — singles, couples, families and groups — then we suggest a venue and help you book a table, so you can share a meal and make friends.

How does matching work?

You build a taste profile — your favourite cuisines, dishes and dining style — and play a quick this-or-that taste game. We then show you a Flavour Match % with people nearby who genuinely love the same food, so your first meet-up already has something delicious in common.

Is Yumble free?

Founding members get everything free for the first 6 months, with no card required. After that, a paid membership (£14.99/month) may apply — we'll always remind you before any charge, and a free tier remains available. You can cancel any time.

Do I need to download an app?

You can use Yumble right in your browser at yumble.app, or install it from Google Play on Android. An iOS version is coming soon.

Dates & venues

Do you really pick where we go?

Yes — that's the point. We take the awkward "where shall we meet / what shall we eat" decisions off the table. Once you match, we suggest vetted venues you'll both love and let you book a table together in a couple of taps.

How many venues are there?

There are 2,000+ hand-picked London venues on Yumble, from hidden ramen bars to rooftop tapas — many with offers just for Yumble members.

Can I book a table through Yumble?

Yes. Once you've matched and found a mutual craving, you can reserve a table together directly in the app — no need to leave and call the restaurant.

Safety & trust

Is everyone on Yumble verified?

Yes. Every member passes a selfie and photo-ID check before they can match. Everyone is a real person, aged 18 or over — no bots, no catfish.

Where do meet-ups happen?

Always in public. Meet-ups take place at real, vetted restaurants — public, well-lit and welcoming. Yumble never sends you to a private address. We always recommend telling a friend where you're going.

Is my personal information private?

Yes. Your phone number and personal details are never shared with other members. You chat safely in-app until you're ready to meet. Your verification selfie and ID are kept private and never shown to other users.

How do I report or block someone?

You can block or report any member in one tap from their profile or your chat. Our team reviews every report, and we treat safety concerns — especially any child-safety matter — as the highest priority.

Account

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account any time from Settings in the app, or by emailing hello@yumble.app. See our account deletion page for full details on what's removed.

Who can join Yumble?

Yumble is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. Accounts that can't be verified as belonging to an adult are refused.

For restaurants

How does Yumble work for restaurants?

Yumble sends real, verified daters — already matched on the food you serve — through your door. There's no upfront cost; you only pay when we bring you a booking. Register your interest and our team will get in touch.
